La Rochelle!

Hey guys, I wanted to do this post a couple of weeks ago when I went to La Rochelle but I didn't have my camera when I went and so my boyfriend had them on his and so I didn't have the photos straight away and after I just completely forgot to upload them. So here I am now, finally doing my blog post about my afternoon in La Rochelle. La Rochelle is in France, as you might know if you have read my blog before, I live in France and this place is about 2 hours and a half away maybe 3. It is a big harbour/beach place on the North/West of France. I went there years ago, when I was about 12 maybe, with my mum, dad a lil brother. We didn't stay there for long then as we were going to Royan which isn't far from there so we stopped and had a little wonder before heading to Royan. Anyways, back to when I went there the other day. So yeah, it was a lovely bright sunny day, and my boyfriends brother decided he wanted to take a trip there to make the most of the sun, so we agreed straight away and got in the car and drove for a couple of hours listening to the mobile sat nav, not always the best option haha but we didn't get lost and made it there in one piece after travelling through some lovely little villages and past I don't know how many fields. I love travelling in the car, staring out the window whilst listening to the music you like, it kinda makes you think of a whole bunch of things (that's what happens to me anyway, maybe I'm weird!) When we got there we met my boyfriends brothers friend at the train station, she was someone I had not met before but she was a very lovely girl who you could have a laugh with. We decided to go to McDonalds as we all needed the toilet but all the public toilets you had to pay for, RIP OFF! And as we had had nothing to eat before coming we decided to grab a bite from there too. Once we had finished there we decided to have a wonder around the harbour bit and kinda sightsee for a bit, until we decided it was getting too hot we needed to sit down  and have a drink, first stop, a bar. There was sooo many bars a long the harbour, one after the other, so hard to chose which one to go too, we ended up choosing the one where it wasn't too crowed. It was lovely sitting out in the sun, having a nice cool drink. I had a Malibu pineapple, one of my favourite drinks, until I saw the price of it, it was double the price of what it is in the bars where I lived, if I knew that I'm not too sure that I would've had it! After being there for an hour and after being ignored by the waitress for half an hour as we wanted another drink, we decided to switch bars. The next one we went too was small but really nice, not many people there and not surrounded by other bars either with a lovely view of the harbour. And there, I think we ordered quite a lot of drinks haha. The best drink there was called a Pelican, a gorgeous bright blue drink. After trying a couple of

different drinks it was time to head back to the car, which was such a shame but time just flew by so fast, I wished we could've stayed longer, but I'm sure me and my boyfriend will be heading back there in the summer to visit the aquarium and the beach. Yes, unfortunately we did not have enough time to to go to or see the beach, which was a bit of a shame, but it was still such a lovely day. It felt so nice to go somewhere, especially on a nice hot day as I had missed the warm weather so much! It was such a lovely place to see and it's definitely worth going back there again. I enjoyed spending some time with my boyfriend at somewhere new, spending time with him is always special to me, and the photos we took there will always remind me of what a lovely day we had. Oh yes! I almost forgot to tell you guys, that day was also special because it was the 5th, the 5th is the day that my gorgeous boyfriend asked me out. It had been 3 years and 5 months on the date we went to La Rochelle, so it was also nice to do something for our special date. Anways, I think I've rambled on a bit too much now, so I just wanted to let you guys know, if you ever take a trip over to France, especially in the summer, definitely go and check La Rochelle out, you will love it!!

ME LOOKING A MESS AS I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO DO MY HAIR OF ANYTHING BEFORE LEAVING, GOOD ONE PAIGE!
